The wedding ceremony will take place at 1:00pm at Castle Achberg, followed by a champagne reception.
Wedding Reception: 5 pm
Following the Wedding Ceremony, we will begin the celebrations at 5 pm in Weinstadl Rimmele.

Die freie Trauung findet um 13:00 Uhr im Schloss Achberg mit anschließendem Sektempfang statt.
Hochzeitsfeier: 17:00 Uhr
Im Anschluss an die freie Trauung findet ab 17:00 Uhr die Hochzeitsfeier im Weinstadl Rimmele statt.

The German compulsory "official wedding" will take place at Museum Ravensburger in Ravensburg with close friends and family.
Die standesamtliche Trauung wird im Museum Ravensburger in Ravensburg im engsten Familien- und Freundeskreis stattfinden.

For our guests from far away that are not able to use their own car to go to our wedding location on 3rd June 2017, we will offer transportation from and to Ravensburg.
Für die Anreise zu unserer Hochzeits-location am 3. Juni 2017 bieten sich Fahrgemeinschaften an. Gerne unterstützen wir bei der Koordination. Damit der Heimweg sicher verläuft und niemand auf alkoholische Getränke verzichten muss, bieten wir einen Shuttleservice nach Ravensburg/ Weingarten an. Dies gilt selbstverständlich für alle Gäste, egal ob diese von auswärts kommen, oder in Ravensburg/Weingarten wohnen.

Our closest airports are Friedrichshafen (20 minutes), Memmingen (1 hour) and Stuttgart (2 hours).
There are great options to continue the onward journey from all airports via public transport. If possible we will also be happy to pick you up. Please let us know your flight details as soon as possible so we can arrange and assist you accordingly.
Want to make it a holiday?
As we are living in an area where people come to spend their holiday, you might consider doing this as well! Feel free to stay as long as you want. We are living 1 hour away from the Austrian and the Swiss border, we have mountains a few minutes away and the biggest lake in Germany is reachable within 25 minutes. There are many opportunities for day trips, Ravensburg is an old historical and traditional city with good shopping opportunities and there is even an amusement park just a few minutes away. Check out the options here.
WHAT TO BRING
As we love to travel and as there is always a destination on our bucket list that we would like to discover, we would be very happy if you would contribute to our travel saving pot. We are planning to go to South Africa for our honeymoon.
Other than that we would really like to have a proper coffee machine, that makes all the coffee goodies we need. Please contact the maid of honour, Julia Müller, if you would like to chip in.
Da wir das Reisen lieben und es immer ein Fleckchen auf der Erde gibt, das auf unserer To Do iste steht würden wir uns sehr freuen, wenn ihr helft, unsere Reisekasse etwas aufzubessern. Wir haben vor, unsere Hochzeitsreise in Südafrika zu verbingen.
Abgesehen davon wünschen wir uns eine vernünftige Kaffeemaschine, die all die leckeren Kaffeespezialitäten zubereitet, die man sich wünscht. Bitte kontaktiert dazu die Trauzeugin, Julia Müller, wenn ihr dazu etwas beitragen wollt.
OUR STORY
We got to know each other in October 2013. Steven was in Indonesia for a few months, becoming Divemaster on a tiny island called Gili Trawangan. Carmen was travelling through Indonesia for a few weeks with her friend Julia (now also known as the maid of honour). Our paths eventually crossed in the Blue Marlin Dive shop. After one week of diving and spending time together, Carmen and Julia left the island again. However, we managed to stay in contact and after we both were back in our home countries, we managed to see each other again at the end of November (Sorry that I have missed your 30th birthday Sandra!). After spending another week together, we knew, we have to fight for our relationship. Steven decided half a year later, that he wants to come to Germany, which he did in July 2014. We both had great plans and were already saving for our next adventure. In December 2014 we were finally flying back to where it all began and we found ourselves becoming Diving Instructors on Gili Trawangan in Indonesia again, where we have spent a year. On 27th of December 2014, which is also Carmen's birthday, Steven proposed to Carmen underwater whilst being on a fun dive. Carmen said "okay" and we were engaged. Being back from our adventure abroad we have now settled in Germany and it is finally possible for us to take the next step in our relationship.
Wir haben uns 2013 im Oktober kennen gelernt. Steven hat gerade seinen Divemaster auf einer kleinen Insel namens "Gili Trawangan" in Indonesien gemacht. Carmen erkundete für ein paar Wochen mit ihrer Freundin Julia (jetzt auch als Trauzeugin bekannt) Indonesien. Irgendwann trafen sich unsere Wege in der Tauchschule von Blue Marlin. achdem wir eine Woche getaucht haben und Zeit miteinander verbracht haben, haben Carmen und Julia die Insel wieder verlassen. Wir haben es jedoch geschafft, in Kontakt zu bleiben und nachdem wir beide wieder Zuhause waren, haben wir uns Ende November wieder gesehen (Sorry, dass ich deinen 30. Geburtstag verpasst habe, Sandra!). Nachdem wir eine weitere Woche miteinander verbracht haben, wussten wir, dass wir für unsere Beziehung kämpfen müssen. Steven hat sich ein halbes Jahr später entschieden, nach Deutschland zu kommen, was er im Juli 2014 getan hat. Wir hatten beide große Pläne und hatten schon für unser nächste Abenteuer gespart. Im Dezember 2014 sind wir endlich dorthin zurück geflogen, wo alles begann und wir befanden und plötzlich mitten drin, Tauchlehrer auf Gli Trawangan in Indonesien zu werden. Dort haben wir ein Jahr verbracht. Am 27. Dezember 2014, was auch Carmens Geburtstag ist, hat Steven Carmen einen Antrag unter Wasser während eines Tauchgangs gemacht. Carmen sagte "okay" und wir waren verlobt. Nachdem wir von unserem Abenteuer wieder zurück sind und uns wieder gut in Deutschland eingelebt haben, ist es uns endlich möglich, den nächsten Schritt in unserer Beziehung zu tun.

ACTIVITIES
Ravensburg
The city of the towers. It's a beautiful ancient city with lots of history and old buildings. You can find cafes and bars everywhere and also do some good shopping. The locals also refer to this town as "the northern most city of Italy" as its atmosphere reminds people of Italy. There is a few museums to discover and you can also visit some of the towers or take a city tour. www.ravensburg.de
Weingarten
Just next to Ravensburg you will find Weingarten, which is famous for its basilica. It's the biggest basilica noth of the Alps. www.weingarten-online.de
Bodensee
Just a short trip away you will find the biggest lake in Germany. You can go and do some shopping, visit the Zeppelin Museum and enjoy the walkway next to the lake in Friedrichshafen (1/2 hour away), see the ancient old cities Meersburg, Lindau or Überlingen (45 mins away) or cross over to Konstanz with the ferry, do some shopping and see the beautiful town (1 hour away). You can also go to the islands Reichenau, which is an UNESCO world heritage or Mainau, that is famous for its flora and fauna. You will see the Alps mountain range from almost everywhere around the Bodensee. www.bodensee.de
Pfänder
This is a mountain that is 1 hour away across the boarder in Austria. The top can be reached by a cable car. For those who like a hike it is also possible to walk up there. There is a small wildlife park on the top that is great for kids and you can start or extend your hike here with plenty of options! From the top you will have an amazing view all over the Bodensee. www.pfaenderbahn.at
Ravensburger Spieleland
This is the biggest amusement park for kids in Germany. Initiated by the company Ravensburger, that is famous all over the world for its books, board and card games, there is plenty of rollercoasters and activities for kids starting from 3 years. It's a great way to spend your day and it is only 30 minutes away! www.spieleland.de

Need something to entertain your kids on a rainy day? No problem! There is also an indoor playground for the little ones just 30 minutes away. It's fun for adults as well ;-) www.lufti.info
